All we ask of you |
We ask that you read the information we send you. |
Our contract with you |
From the time we receive your signed booking form and initial payment, a firm contract exists between you and Arte and Travel Ltd. The deposit is non-returnable except in the special circumstances mentioned. |
Special note about the Michelangelo Experience Seminars: |
Many of our included artistic riches of Rome are not easily accessible to the ordinary visitor. Some sites of this tour are places which are difficult of access or are rarely open to the public –treasures which lie beyond normally impenetrable portals. Privileged access also takes the form of visits to places outside their normal opening hours. Instead of sharing the Sistine Chapel with hundreds of other visitors, around forty Arte Travel clients, from two tours which otherwise do not meet, will have the place to themselves for a couple of hours. Though it is likely that most of the places mentioned in the itinerary given below will be visited, arrangements depend on the generosity of owners and institutions and are occasionally subject to cancellation, but our network of contacts and know-how would enable us to arrange alternatives. |
Some well known and generally accessible places are included in the itinerary as well, so the tour should appeal both to those who are unfamiliar with the city as well as to those who have been many times before. |
Eligibility |
We reserve the right to refuse to accept a booking without necessarily giving a reason. You must have a level of fitness which would not spoil other participants' enjoyment of the tour by slowing them down. With this in mind, we do not accept bookings from anyone who would be aged 81 or over at the time of the tour. |
Prices & Payment |
All prices are in US dollars. Please note we are only able to accept payments made in US dollars. The accommodations and other services in Europe are based on euro costs. The prices in United States Dollars were calculated in March 2011 at the then current rate of $1.30 per euro. Any substantial variation in the rate of exchange could result in an adjustment in the dollar-price of the tour. |
Insurance |
Travel Insurance, including cancellation coverage, is strongly recommended. It is substantially less expensive if bought as a group; the rate for these seminars is $350 ($410 for single occupancy) per person. To qualify for those rates, we must be a group of at least ten people traveling on the same dates. Please indicate on the form if you are interested in group insurance. For comparison or if you simply prefer to insure separately, you can find information about individual coverage at www.travelinsured.com |
Passports and visas |
British and US citizens must have valid passports for our tours. For most countries, the passport needs to be valid for six months beyond the date of the tour. If visas are required, we will advise all citizens about obtaining them. |
