Homo Faber NextGen - 2022 - Summer School

Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship atzīmē savas Summer School Programme jaunos apvāršņus

Summer School Programme trešais gads noslēdzās ar divu nedēļu kursu par Zellige flīžu izgatavošanu, kas norisinājās Tetuānā, Marokā.

  • No 2022. gada septiņu vasaras skolu 105 dalībniekiem pirmo reizi piedalīties tika uzaicināti starptautiskie studenti
  • Japāņu galdniecības kursā piedalījās japāņu galdniecības meistars un dizainers, lai pasniegtu amatniecību
  • Studenti Spānijā pētīja saikni starp gastronomiju un amatniecību

Trešais Michelangelo Foundation’s Summer School Programme gads iezīmēja sākumu globālākai izglītības iniciatīvas perspektīvai. Kurss pirmo reizi ārpus Eiropas tika pasniegts Marokā, un studenti no visas pasaules tika uzaicināti piedalīties septiņās vasaras skolās. Kursos studenti apguva specializētas amatniecības tehnikas, kas saistītas ar konkrētu reģionu vai valsti, kā arī jaunas mūsdienu dizaina prasmes. Viens kurss tika paplašināts, iekļaujot gastronomiju, jo studenti pētīja tās saikni ar amatniecību.

 

 

Domaine de Boisbuchet Francijā 12 studentiem bija reta iespēja uzzināt par japāņu galdniecības prasmēm pie galdniecības meistara Takami Kawai un par japāņu dizaina prasmēm pie Wataru Kumano. Studenti izmantoja savas jaunapgūtās prasmes un zināšanas, lai izgatavotu koku ieskaujošu soliņu. Kopīgais dizaina projekts atstāja paliekošu mantojumu, nodrošinot atpūtas zonu, kurā radošie rezidenti var satikties sarunām brīvā dabā.

 

“Japāņu galdniecībā ir svarīgs komandas darbs, individuālā tehnika ir svarīga, bet jums ir jābūt komandā un jāuzticas saviem komandas biedriem,” Wataru Kumano, dizainers no Japānas

 

Evoras universitātē Portugālē studenti izmantoja digitālos rīkus un tradicionālo grozu pīšanu no augiem, kuru pasniedza Domingos Vaz un Fernando Nelas Pereira, lai izveidotu caurvelkamu ēnojuma struktūru. Inženierijas un tehnoloģiju uzņēmums Dosta Tec sniedza savus ieskatus, lai nodrošinātu, ka dizains ir vides ziņā ilgtspējīgs, savukārt arhitektes Fatima Durkee un Astrid Suzano dalījās ar savām zināšanām par arhitektūru.

 

Līgatnē, Latvijā katrs students izgatavoja krēslu, izmantojot bērza mizas pīšanu, kalšanu un kokgriešanu Latvijas amatnieku Riharda Vidzicka, Vizmas Zvirbules, Sören Uhlmann un Jāņa

Straupes, kā arī starptautisko dizaineru Paul Heijnen, Maria Bruun, Lucas Maassen un Dmitri Bähler vadībā.

Sanktpeltenē, Austrijā 12 studenti strādāja ar vietējo akmens apstrādes uzņēmumu Breitweiser un amatnieci Judith Wagner, lai atklātu veidus, kā kombinēt tradicionālās akmens kalšanas prasmes ar jaunākajām tehnoloģijām, lai radītu funkcionālus objektus un mākslas darbus. No pārsteidzošām lampām līdz augu podiem, humoristiskiem mākslas darbiem līdz skaistam galdam, studenti demonstrēja savas jaunās prasmes ar unikāliem darbiem.

 

Castilla-La Mancha, Spānijā 17 studenti ar Mišelina zvaigznēm apbalvotajam restorānam El Raices radīja keramikas darbus, iedvesmojoties no Talaveras amatnieku tradīcijām un vietējās gastronomijas. Studentus vadīja keramikas meistars Gustavo del Pino, dizaina pasniedzēja Laura Nava, gastronomijas eksperts Fernando Rafael un ar Mišelina zvaigznēm apbalvotais pavārs Carlos Maldonado.

Kremonā, Itālijā 12 starptautiskie studenti pat no tik tālām valstīm kā Japāna pulcējās, lai apgūtu seno mūzikas instrumentu restaurēšanu piecu meistaru un ekspertu vadībā. Nedēļu ilgajā kursā dalībniekiem bija iespēja uzzināt par seno stīgu instrumentu tīrīšanu un atjaunošanu, izmantojot mūsdienu tehnoloģijas un tradicionālās amatniecības tehnikas.

The Domaine de Boisbuchet is an international centre for research and education on sustainably innovative design and architecture. Founded in 1986 by Alexander von Vegesack, it is located in the Southwest of France on 150 hectares of protected nature, namely forest, pasture, a river, a small lake, and an unpolluted fauna and flora. Boisbuchet's core activity are workshops for professionals and students in all kinds of applied arts – from craft to industrial design and engineering, from photography to scenography and curating, and from food to fashion and architecture. Passa Ao Futuro founded in 2016 by Astrid Suzano and Fatima Durkee, is a cultural initiative non-profit association that seeks out craftspeople in Portugal working with traditional techniques. It strives to support these communities and people through the documentation and preservation of their tacit knowledge, the development of case specific social, environmental and economic sustainability programmes, with a focus on the celebration  and passing on of skills. Founded in 2016 in Riga (Latvia), MAD Design Summer School offers an alternative approach to design and art education. The New Design University St. Pölten (NDU) was founded by the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce and its Business Development Institute in 2004. The Institut National des Beaux-Arts de Tétouan (INBA) in Morocco is an institution of higher education in the field of art, under the authority of the Ministry of Culture. It trains creative young people in the various fields of visual arts. Its vocation is to stimulate the development of new talents and train creative personalities (artists, designers, comic book authors, animated films, etc.) who can follow singular paths within a wide spectrum of disciplines in the world of visual arts (modern and contemporary). The University of Pavia is the most ancient athenaeum of Lombardy and one of the most oldest of Europe, being established in 1361.
