From 8 to 26 November 2025 the Triennale of Kogei, will be held in Kanazawa, Japan. The open-call exhibition will showcase outstanding works selected from submissions worldwide. While a special exhibition will highlight crafts from Kanazawa, thanks to a collaboration with local galleries.
The Michelangelo Foundation will present a Homo Faber Award to Mitsuru Mochizuki, one of the artisans selected for the Triennale through the 2025 Kogei World Competition in Kanazawa. Mitsuru is a Japanese ceramicist who explores the plasticity of clay to create striking pieces which recount the relationship between her chosen material and her inner being.
