Art & Exception is an independent initiative which seeks to modernise the know-how of master craftspeople to ensure sustainable workshops where heritage, craftsmanship and creativity can thrive to create wealth for humanity through the contemporary crafts. With a main focus on Africa, the organisation is working to map craft workshops and encourage master craftspeople to preserve their cultural heritage with their signature exhibition, Exceptions from Africa. Beyond this, they structure and strengthen workshops through education, skill transfer programmes and the engagement of young generations.
