The Centre for Artistic and Traditional Craftsmanship in Tuscany (Centro per l'Artigianato Artistico e Tradizionale della Toscana, or Artex) works to support and valorise artistic and traditional craftsmanship in Tuscany and Italy, nurture innovation in the sector and promote it around the world. Created in 1987, Artex develops and manages projects to support and advance crafts companies, also in collaboration with national and international organisations and public entities. Its activities include conferences, events and exhibitions, tourist initiatives, networking opportunities, research and publications, alongside constant analysis of the economy and markets.
