Design Academy Saaleck (Design Akademie Saaleck, dieDAS) is a foundation dedicated to promoting design and craftsmanship through a unique immersive programme, which encourages creative and conscious cultural dialogue, innovative thinking and a collective approach. It offers fellows, guests, friends and visitors the opportunity to create and exchange ideas and develop, both professionally and personally through retreats, workshops and lectures. The foundation provides financial funding for creative pioneers in the form of fellowships. Its premises are located in the former Saaleck Workshops near Naumburg, acquired in 2018 thanks to the dedication of collector and patron Egidio Marzona.
