Crafts and Design (Handverk og hönnun) was established in January 2007. The organisation is run with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture. Its main objective is the promotion of crafts, arts and design, and to increase the general understanding through a variety of promotional activities. The association organises a wide variety of exhibitions in Reykjavik and around Iceland. It brings together a network of craftspeople and businesses, providing a platform, to keep members informed, as well as offering expert consulting services with regards to courses, studies, marketing and exhibitions
