Homo Faber Capsule is an exhibition series designed to showcase the work of selected artisans from Homo Faber Guide, the community that lies at the heart of our activities. A digital platform mapping craftsmanship around the world, the Guide is not only an essential travel companion for craft enthusiasts but is also a rich source of artisanal talent, which we seek to highlight through our events. Held every two years in the alternate year to Homo Faber Biennial, Homo Faber Capsule presents a curated selection of these craft talents in an intimate, themed exhibition inspired by a different host city each time. The first edition, INTERWOVEN, is presented in Seville, Spain. Taking inspiration from the Andalusian city’s multi-layered cultural history and rich textile heritage, the exhibition celebrates the interconnected nature of craftsmanship, revealing the diverse traditions, techniques, materials and human stories that are woven together to create a handcrafted object.
