Homo Faber Fellowship Programme Details

Where is the programme taking place?

For the second edition, 25 international duos will be invited to take part in the programme across 9 European countries: Cyprus, France, Greece, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Fellows must be over 18 years old and recent craft graduates. They must show talent and passion, whilst striving to become professional artisans.

Master artisans must have proven skills in their craft and demonstrate a willingness and need to transmit their skills to an aspiring craftsperson in order to secure the future of their craft.

To participate in the Fellowship both fellows and master artisans are expected to commit to the entirety of the programme and be willing to travel.

What does the programme offer?

The seven-month Fellowship incorporates:
• A 1-month certified entrepreneurial and creative masterclass in a creative residency
• A 6-month sponsored placement in a master artisan’s workshop
• Mentoring throughout the Fellowship
• A co-created object by master artisan and fellow with a possible business opportunity

  • I am inspired to pass on my knowledge to the younger generation.I am inspired to pursue a career in the craft I was trained in and open my own workshop or business.
  • I have a financial need or urgency to transmit knowledge for the growth or transfer of my workshop.I wish to continue the craft I was trained in and participating in this programme represents the next logical step in my career.
